

These Hawaiian Warrior Helmets are really called Makaki'i or Makini, and sometimes referred to as Ikaika (strong) helmets. These helmets were originally worn by members of a warrior society called makini and were entrusted with the protection of their high chief.
Presently, these helmets can be seen as decoration and hanging from car rear view mirrors. Hang one in your car or home for protection. Each small warrior helmet is approx. size 1 1/4" dia. with natural or colored feathers on the top crest and raffia fiber strips or plastic beads hung from the lower edges of the gourd.
